We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to take ownership of the frontend architecture and user experience of a greenfield GenAI platform in the life sciences space. This is a key role where you’ll shape how users interact with AI-powered systems from day one, defining standards, patterns, and the overall frontend foundation.
You’ll work closely with backend and AI engineers to build intuitive, high-quality interfaces for content-heavy and interaction-driven workflows, enabling SMEs to collaborate with intelligent systems in meaningful ways.
What you’ll do:
- Act as the lead frontend voice, shaping architecture, tooling, and best practices
- Design and build the frontend from scratch for a new GenAI product
- Own complex UI flows involving content creation, forms, and rich interactions
- Implement responsive, accessible, and high-performance interfaces
- Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs and real-time AI features
- Contribute to and evolve the design system and component library
- Translate ambiguous product requirements into elegant, scalable UI solutions
- Set standards for code quality, performance, and maintainability
- Collaborate with product and design in a fast-paced startup environment
What you bring:
- Many years of experience as a Frontend Engineer or similar
- Strong experience with: React & Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS or modern styling approaches
- Proven experience building systems from scratch (greenfield)
- Deep understanding of frontend architecture and state management
- Experience working closely with backend engineers on API integration
- Strong UI/UX sensibility and attention to detail
- Comfort operating in fast-changing startup environments
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with GenAI or AI-powered interfaces (chat, copilots, agents, streaming UX)
- Familiarity with life sciences, healthcare or regulated industries
- Experience designing interaction-heavy systems or workflow tools
