Role & Responsibilities

This is a pivotal role focused on expanding our customer base, enhancing profitability, and ensuring our services align with market needs and regulatory standards.

You will be very ‘hands on’, enthusiastically prospecting accounts and opportunities in a very competitive and challenging environment.

You’ll develop and execute the commercial strategy and drive sustainable revenue growth for the hazardous waste transfer station.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead commercial pipeline and market intelligence
  • Proactively develop and manage sales portfolio
  • Negotiate commercial contracts
  • Oversee full sales cycle
  • Implement pricing policies in collaboration with the Business Manager
  • Build durable multi-channel customer engagement
  • Build partnerships with disposal and service providers
  • Coach and develop a team of 3–4 commercial professionals
  • Ensure regulatory compliance

  • Customer Satisfaction
  • Pipeline volume
  • Quotation conversion rates
  • Revenue and margin

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Degree in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Environment or related field
  • 10+ years in commercial/business development within waste/environmental services
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK/EU waste legislation, ADR and circular economy principles
  • Lead by example
