About the Role
We are a growing UK recruitment business placing talent across multiple sectors. As we expand our client base, we are looking for an experienced, self-driven Business Development Manager to join us on a commission-based arrangement. This is a genuine opportunity for an entrepreneurial BDM to build their own client portfolio with full autonomy, backed by an experienced delivery team and the infrastructure already in place. Your compensation is directly tied to your performance — the more value you create, the more you earn.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and win new client accounts across a range of sectors and disciplines
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Negotiate terms of business and manage the full sales cycle independently
- Collaborate with our recruitment delivery team to ensure an excellent client experience
- Forecast pipeline activity and report on business development progress
- Represent the business professionally at industry events and through your personal network
What We’re Looking For
- Proven business development experience within UK recruitment
- An established network of hiring managers, HR leaders, or talent decision-makers
- Demonstrable track record of winning and managing client accounts
- Highly self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently
- Strong communication and commercial negotiation skills
- Confident managing your own pipeline without day-to-day oversight
What’s on Offer
- Gross Profit Commission: Earn a strong, competitive percentage of gross profit on every deal — paid promptly on collected revenue.
- Fully Remote & Flexible: Work from anywhere in the UK. You manage your own time, diary, and working style.
- Director-Level Pathway: Demonstrate consistent results and a fast-track to Commercial Director is a real and active option.
- Full Infrastructure Support: CRM access, job boards, and a delivery team behind you — so you can focus entirely on winning business.
A note on this role: This is a commission-based position, structured as a self-employed engagement. Compensation is performance-driven with no basic salary. This model is best suited to an experienced BDM with a strong professional network, who is confident in their ability to open doors and wants their earnings to reflect the full value of what they bring. If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
