Our retained and exclusive client, a rapidly expanding subsea engineering specialist solutions provider, is seeking an 'experienced' Project Engineer – Subsea to join their high‐growth team. This role is central to the delivery of complex subsea tooling projects, combining hands‐on engineering capability with structured project management and client‐facing technical leadership.
The ideal candidate brings deep subsea design experience, ideally including ROV/Tooling and thrives in a fast‐paced environment where innovation, safety and delivery excellence are non‐negotiable.
Key Responsibilities- Project delivery - Manage and oversee new subsea tool builds and live engineering projects from concept through to completion.
- Design engineering - Develop innovative mechanical solutions for subsea services.
- Technical execution - Complete technical and administrative tasks as directed by the Head of Engineering.
- Cost & schedule control - Manage project budgets and ensure on‐time delivery.
- Documentation - Produce engineering procedures, test documentation and bid‐support materials.
- Peer review - Review engineering deliverables and participate in design reviews for new tooling.
- Client support - Provide technical input during tendering and proposal stages.
- Design verification - Create new designs and perform FEA to validate tooling and project requirements.
- Offshore leadership - Able to spend a significant amount of time offshore to meet business needs.
- Equipment readiness - Prepare, modify and certify equipment to company standards.
- Diagnostics & repair - Test, diagnose and repair subsea equipment to required quality and certification levels.
- HSE compliance - Report incidents and non‐conformances in line with company procedures.

- 6-10+ years' experience in a similar subsea or mechanical engineering role.
- Strong mechanical and hydraulic capability.
- Proven problem‐solving ability with practical, workable solutions.
- Flexibility to travel globally, sometimes at short notice.
- Confident, effective verbal and written communicator.
- Able to work independently and within integrated, multi‐location teams.
- Strong MS Office capability.
- Full command of written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks or similar).

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Subsea oil & gas experience.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and DNV standards.
- Subsea tooling background.
