The UEFA Social Media Editor will be responsible for posting on UEFA’s official women’s football social platforms. This is a permanent role, based in our London office with hybrid working options available.
Responsibilities
- Implement UEFA’s women’s football social media strategy on various competition accounts through an in-depth understanding of their platforms, namely Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X.
- Create and share daily content that engages fans but crucially upholds, protects and builds UEFA’s brand and global reputation at all times.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of performance through social insights & best practices, and act on them accordingly.
- Support the delivery and execution of a long-term content planner.
- Understand the purpose and procedures of branded content, and its role in providing value to UEFA’s sponsors and key stakeholders.
- Work closely with UEFA’s native video and photography teams to ensure consistent and entertaining storytelling.
- Work with UEFA’s video asset management system to identify standout moments and create narratives which celebrate the competitions’ players and clubs.
- Produce social media assets in line with UEFA brand guidelines.
Qualifications
- A minimum of three years’ experience working on prominent social media accounts, preferably within the sports industry.
- Proven experience with engaging significant social media audiences, particularly in a live environment.
- Extensive knowledge of social media platforms, both established and emerging, and their integrated insights/analytics tools.
- An understanding of branded content and its development and delivery on social media platforms.
- Some experience of on-site/event content delivery (e.g. interviews, behind-the-scenes filming or social media activations/challenges with talent).
- Knowledge of the digital industry, social media trends and how developing technologies can be used to meet business objectives.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when under pressure.
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise, manage and meet deadlines.
- A deep understanding of women’s European football and the positioning of UEFA’s competitions.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design software (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), video editing would be an advantage - especially knowledge of vertical formats.
- A positive outlook, a flexible attitude and an ability to deal with people effectively at all levels, both internally and externally.
