- Trainee Financial Accountant
- Support accurate financial reporting and compliance by assisting with monthly reports, reconciliations, and statutory accounts preparation.
- Maintain core accounting records through general ledger management, journal postings, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure regulatory and tax compliance by helping prepare VAT, corporation tax returns, and other submissions.
- Contribute to process improvements and finance projects while providing administrative and analytical support to the wider team.
- Trainee Finance Business Partner
- Gain hands-on experience across all areas of the finance function, including modelling, investment, assets, repairs, and operational support.
- Provide analysis and insights that help shape organisational plans and priorities.
- Contribute to long-term planning and stress-testing to ensure the organisation’s financial stability.
- Work closely with experienced business partners and participate in cross-directorate projects to link financial planning with operational performance.
- Build a strong foundation in financial management and analysis.
Requirements
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline, or AAT qualified with previous experience working in a finance role (Essential)
- Commitment to developing a wide understanding of financial accounting operations or financial planning across diverse service areas
- A strong interest and knowledge of accounting
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications; confident working with data
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Curious, proactive, and willing to learn about different aspects of finance and business operations
- Organised, self-motivated, and able to balance multiple priorities
- Working collaboratively and positively with colleagues
- Working to competing deadlines
