We are recruiting 2 Building Trade Operatives to join us on a permanent basis. Within this role, you will carry out a whole range of general building repair and maintenance and labouring activities.

Responsibilities
- To carry out works to the highest possible standards, and frequency, using approved materials, equipment and methods with due regard and attention to legislation, Incommunities policies, statutory regulations and the Health and Safety at Work Act
- To carry out manual, labouring duties as appropriate to the post, including supporting trade operatives across a wide range of Incommunities properties and establishments.
- Work effectively as a key part of a dedicated team to deliver a diverse range of services; these include carrying out non trade specific general building repairs and maintenance to both tenanted and empty properties; and carry out tasks as instructed by and under the guidance of the relevant manager
- To drive, utilising building services transport across a wide geographical area in a wide range of Incommunities properties and establishments adhering to statutory legislation and the Incommunities Drivers Handbook.
- To use initiative and knowledge of general building activities to inform the Manager of any general defects where specific trade involvement is required.
- To be willing to undertake further training to upskill to trade level
- Ability to undertake a wide range of property care tasks including: general maintenance, clearing properties of furniture and furnishings, ability to lift/move moderate loads
- Support the Field Manager to resolve property defects or undertake work as required and meet the service standard
- Able to work alongside and provide support and assistance to trade operatives; as instructed by the Field Manager.
- To prepare void properties as directed by Field manager to support trade operatives to carry out their work in a safe and clean working environment
- To carry out a whole range of general building repair and maintenance and labouring activities, including a range of internal and external general building tasks on repairs and void maintenance as instructed by the Field Manager
- General grounds maintenance and garden maintenance activities to void properties grass cutting, tree pruning, bush trimming and basic landscaping and groundwork in preparation for new customer
- Ensure the cleanliness of all properties during and after repair is to a high standard
- Assist trade operatives in tasks which involve dual working.
Requirements
- Full UK manual driving licence as you will be expected to drive a loaded light goods vehicle,
- Ability to work at heights with ladders, stepladders, scaffolding and kneel, stretch and work in confined spaces
- Ability to interpret written & verbal instructions and respond flexibly to change, specific tasks & service demands at short notice under the guidance of the Field Manager.
- Manual Handling of loads, using manual & powered tools and equipment, using chemicals and cleaning agents, awareness of working with asbestos containing materials.
- Salary of £25,374 per year
