About us: We are a social housing landlord and one of the largest housing providers in the region with over 22,000 social and affordable homes, mainly in the Bradford district. Duties include:
- Deliver high-quality repair, plumbing and maintenance services across tenanted and void properties to maintain safe, functional homes and high customer satisfaction.
- Act as the first point of contact on site, assessing repair needs, exercising trade judgement and ensuring works are completed or escalated appropriately.
- Operate safely and compliantly at all times, adhering to Health and Safety legislation, statutory regulations and internal safety policies to protect residents, colleagues and the organisation.
- Support service continuity and workforce capability by guiding trainees and craft workers, promoting strong working practices and safe standards.
- Contribute to service efficiency and organisational growth by working flexibly across districts, supporting external contracts and maintaining accurate documentation and asset accountability.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 in plumbing or equivalent qualification.
- Must be experienced in the use of tools, plant equipment and materials applicable in his/her specialism and the general activities of the construction industry.
- Have relevant experience in plumbing maintenance works including guttering, removing pipe boxing and tiling.
- Experience in site work, refurbishments, day to day maintenance work, soil, vent & underground drainage, lead flashings.
- Have a full set of tools.
- Ability to carry out the allocated tasks to the highest level of skill in the appropriate specialism.
- Honest, courteous, diligent, punctual.
- Ability to communicate at all levels in a professional and courteous manner.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and demonstrate competence to drive a large vehicle (van).
- Right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.
- A basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required for the successful candidate as part of the pre-employment process.
