We are currently recruiting an experienced Administrative Officer to join our Neighbourhoods team on a permanent basis. We are looking for someone with good attention to detail, who can work well as part of a team to deliver an administrative service to our allocations and wider neighbourhoods team.
Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00. 1 in every 4 weeks, you will be required to work onsite 5 days. The other 3 weeks in the month you can work from home 3 days per week.

Duties include:
- Prepare and assist with tenancy sign ups, ensuring the correct documents are arranged for new customers.
- Communicate with a large team of Neighbourhood Housing Officers and provide assistance.
- Provide a clerical and administrative support service to the team, including taking minutes, maintaining manual and computerised records and filing systems, post distribution and maintaining office supplies.
- Assist in the preparation of statistics and management information for monitoring purposes.
- Make outbound calls to customers where necessary in order to obtain clarification on information.
- Face to face interactions with customers at the office to terminate tenancies.
About you:
- Have experience of answering queries and problem solving.
- Are able to juggle work priorities within a busy work environment.
- Can work on your own initiative, researching information to resolve problems and respond to enquiries efficiently.
- Can organise and manage your own workload in order to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Enjoy working as part of a team, assisting colleagues to achieve work targets.
- Are adaptable and flexible in order to meet changing work priorities.
- Previous experience of dealing with customers both face to face and over the telephone.
- Excellent IT skills in order to be able to maintain databases, monitor statistics and interrogate and update systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in order to be able to compose letters and deal with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
- An ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures correctly and appropriately.
Right to Work in the UK - sponsorship is not available. A basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required for the successful candidate as part of the pre-employment process.
Starting salary of £26,691 which increases with service to £28,411 per year.
