We’re seeking a proactive Labourer to join our team! Within this role, you will work across the Bradford District, supporting a range of onsite tasks in a fast-paced environment.

About us: We are a social housing landlord and one of the largest housing providers in the region with over 22,000 social and affordable homes, mainly in the Bradford district. We employ a talented workforce of nearly 1,000 people. Duties include:

  • Maintain empty properties to a high standard of cleanliness, including handling belongings left by previous tenants and properties in poor condition.
  • Safely transport and dispose of any abandoned belongings in line with regulations.
  • Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) and all other relevant safety standards.
  • Accurately create, maintain, and update work documentation as required.
  • Travel between various premises across the Bradford district.
  • Assist tradespeople with property maintenance and construction tasks.
  • Ensure necessary materials, equipment, and resources are available for tradespeople and subcontractors.
  • Prepare properties for refurbishment or maintenance work, including demolition tasks.
  • Collaborate within a team to achieve targets and meet deadlines in a performance-driven environment.
  • Use digital platforms to log completed work.
  • Dispose of trade waste efficiently, following sustainability and recycling guidelines.
  • Assist with business continuity in the event of a major incident or emergency call-out.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Experience in cleaning and general labouring across various trade-based roles.
  • Background in property clearance and construction desirable.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety systems such as COSHH, HASAWA, and Manual Handling safety regulations.
  • A clear customer focus and a positive attitude.
  • A belief in our values of addressing social injustices by creating great homes for our customers.
  • A full current manual driving licence.
  • Right to Work in the UK – Visa Sponsorship is not available.
  • A basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required for the successful candidate as part of the pre-employment process.
