We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a large-scale insurance core system modernisation initiative. This initiative involves the replacement of the legacy core policy administration system across life and health lines of business, covering various business functions such as new business, underwriting, policy servicing, claims processing, collection & billing, and includes multiple integration points across the IT ecosystems including customer-facing platforms, data, GL, etc., as well as data migration.
The project manager will oversee all aspects of the projects and ensure the deliverables are within the defined scope and budget.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and monitor all the phases of the project lifecycle and work closely with the business and technology workstreams to develop a detailed plan, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress.
- Create and manage a detailed plan and tasks across blueprinting, testing data migration, and change management phases by actively engaging with workstream leads.
- Provide timely updates to stakeholders, highlight project risks, and maintain regular project progress/update cadence.
- Collate information across workstream progress and prepare presentations that clearly articulate the dependencies across activities, track the critical path, surface the blockers, and assign responsibilities for outstanding tasks.
- Monitor project scope and schedules, ensure effective communication and documentation in line with the laid-out governance framework.
- Co-ordinate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA's, developers, and business users to drive decisions and resolve conflicts.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in project management with knowledge of the insurance domain (mainly Life & Health insurance), preferably leading large-scale projects.
- Good understanding of insurance processes and insurance technology landscape/ecosystem including key integration touchpoints and data.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills with pro-active problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with core policy administration policies is preferred.
- Expertise in project management methodology following a hybrid approach with elements from waterfall and agile practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate project goals, updates, and risks to key stakeholders.
- Ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent time management skills to set deadlines and schedule tasks and ensure timelines are met.
- Awareness of emerging technology trends and regulatory needs.
