The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
The incumbent will report to the Head, Distribution Middle Office and will be responsible for Fit & Proper assessment of candidates who are required to be RNF for Income Insurance Limited and Income Advisory Group Subsidiaries. This role leads the Distribution Growth Support & Compliance to deliver a seamless onboarding experience across distribution channels, while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include:
- Distribution Growth Support & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with MAS Representative Notification Framework (RNF) through robust Fit & Proper assessments and enhanced monitoring.
- Review and escape Fit & Proper evaluations in line with MAS RNF requirements (e.g., adverse findings, recommended monitoring).
- Conduct periodic monitoring activities, including periodic reviews with distribution channels.
- Provide a management report on the cohort & profile of distribution channels.
- Conduct regular, continuous fit & proper monitoring & assessment, such as screening & annual declaration.
- Oversee daily credit monitoring for distribution channels.
- Review and maintain Fit & Proper frameworks and SOPs in accordance with MAS Notices, regulatory changes & business process changes.
- Conduct fraud detection exercises regularly.
- Represent the department as Risk & Compliance & Business Continuity representative.
- Provide regular reports for management, industry & regulatory reporting.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual processes (e.g., eRecruitment, digitalization initiatives).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors (e.g., IT, Compliance) to streamline agent-related transactions.
- Lead and develop high-performing teams to achieve operational goals.
- Manage internal and external audit requests.
Requirements
- Diploma / Bachelor's in any discipline.
- Strong familiarity with MAS guidelines, including the Representative Notification Framework (RNF), and other relevant regulatory notices.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in insurance distribution operations or regulatory compliance, with exposure to Life Insurance distribution channels preferred.
- Experience in Fit & Proper assessments and enhanced monitoring protocols.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across compliance, IT, legal, and distribution teams.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on process optimization, automation, and digital transformation.
