  • Base: The Midlands UK – Our Associates deliver consultancy and training both virtually and in person. We need our Associate colleagues to live within The Midlands area as we are expanding our talent pool in that area
  • Associate Rates: Variable depending upon assignment

Being an Associate with Inclusive Employers

At Inclusive Employers (IE), we\’re proud to work with a community of trusted Associates to deliver high-quality training and consultancy services on an assignment led ad hoc contract basis.

Inclusion and Diversity – The Assignments

Our Associates support us on an ad hoc assignment led basis delivering Inclusion and Diversity training, facilitation and / or consultancy services with confidence, credibility and warmth to our clients. The assignments vary and may include Online and Face to Face interventions including Workshops, Webinars, In-House and Consultancy Projects.

To be considered for our Associate Pool, you will need to demonstrate a broad range of skills and competencies within Inclusion and Diversity including training and / or consultancy.

Examples of Associate assignments include:

  • Deliver learning interventions – delivering a wide range of training, learning and development interventions with an engaging, informative, and convincing style that creates lasting change, to a wide range of audiences. Face to face and virtually
  • Consultancy solutions – delivering comprehensive, specialist and practical inclusion and diversity expertise and solutions to employers across sectors on issues ranging from strategic to tactical and operational.

Associate Key Principles

To ensure clarity, transparency and compliance with relevant legislation (such as IR35), we ask all Associates to follow a few key principles that guide our working relationship.

  • You\’re a Limited Company: All our new Associates must operate as a registered UK limited company and are responsible for managing their own tax and legal obligations.
  • You\’re in control: As an Associate, you work independently and are not part of our internal team, operations or day-to-day supervision. There is no obligation on us to offer work, nor are you obliged to accept work offered. There is no guarantee of future assignments.
  • You will have a clear scope of work: Each assignment stands on its own and will be agreed separately in writing, outlining scope, deliverables, timeframes, and rates.
  • IE sets the fee structure: IE sets the fee structure: IE sets a clear fee structure for each assignment. To ensure our fee scale stays in line with market rates, we periodically review and may revise our fees where appropriate.

Requirements

Person specification

Below are details of the skills, experience and attributes that we look for in our Associates: –

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills – skilled in building rapport with various clients/sectors working with individuals from a wide range of organisations and at different levels of seniority.
  • For Training / Facilitation – Highly developed presentation and communication skills – including experience of developing and delivering engaging Inclusion and Diversity training to a wide range of commercial audiences and writing clear and concise reports.
  • For Consultancy – Delivering inclusion and diversity consultancy solutions or strategies within complex organisations – you will need experience of developing solutions in a variety of contexts and being involved in the different stages of development from analysing the issues (using qualitative and quantitative data), through to recommending best practice solutions, to piloting interventions and evaluating their success.
  • A working and comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 and its implications for different areas of organisational activity and employment.
  • An in-depth and current understanding of inclusive best practice as it applies to the workplace.
  • An inclusive approach and value set – we share a common belief in fairness and inclusion.
