The predicted salary is between 19 - 19 £ per hour.

Location: Denbighshire (family home)

Hours: Initially 20 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours as required. The core working hours are Monday to Friday, 4:00pm - 7:00pm. Additional hours may be available at weekends, by mutual agreement, and full-day shifts during school holidays. The exact working pattern to be agreed flexibly with the family.

T is a child with an acquired brain injury who requires consistent, structured support to help him develop skills, build confidence, and safely access his daily routine. The family are beginning to introduce external support for the first time, so a calm, patient and relationship-based approach is essential. Support will take place within the family home and local community, working collaboratively with parents and the wider rehabilitation team.

We are seeking a warm, proactive personal assistant to join T's rehabilitation team. Your role will be to support T with everyday activities, promote his independence, and help him access meaningful routines while following professional guidance and therapy recommendations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in children's support, rehabilitation, or additional needs who wants to make a genuine difference to a young person's life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred, child-focused support within the home and community
  • Help T to engage in daily routines, activities, and structured sessions
  • Use consistent strategies to support his communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation
  • Monitor engagement, progress, and well-being, sharing timely updates with the case manager and family
  • Work collaboratively with therapists, the family, case management, and other professionals
  • Follow all care plans, risk assessments, and safety procedures
  • Maintain high-quality daily records
About You

You will be someone who:

  • Enjoys working with children and understands developmental needs
  • Is calm, patient, and able to build trust gradually
  • Has experience supporting children with additional needs, brain injury, or disabilities (preferred)
  • Can work consistently, professionally, and with sensitivity to family life
  • Has good communication skills and is confident following structured guidance
  • Is reliable and committed to ongoing professional development
  • Has a clean driving licence
