We are looking for a Team Leader to join our Multi Track EL PL team. The Team Leader will be responsible for ensuring their team delivers high-quality legal services to clients and achieves its financial targets consistently. This will be done through the effective management of resources across the team, being a technical expert supporting, guiding and developing all team members to enhance their performance. Under the supervision of the Head of Department, you will drive excellence: conducting 1-2-1's, performance and case reviews, to ensure that all cases are managed to agreed processes, and that key performance indicators are being met and/or exceeded by all team members. The role will also have a small caseload of its own (approximately 25% of your working hours).
Key Responsibilities
- Day to day leadership of the team and providing technical support on EL & PL claims.
- Tracking the team's performance.
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements through file reviews and technical clinics, managing conflicts of interest, and addressing ethical issues as they arise.
- Assisting with the professional development of team members.
- Develop and manage a small caseload of Employers Liability and Public Liability (EL/PL) matters.
- Effectively and efficiently conduct cases on behalf of clients in accordance with the overall policies and objectives of the firm.
- Develop local business to secure referrals.
- Participate in the development, marketing, and success of the department.
Key Requirements
- Must be a grade A Solicitor qualified in England and Wales and hold a current practising certificate.
- Have demonstrated experience in managing an EL/PL caseload.
- Demonstrated leadership/management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting own advocacy.
- Strong business development skills.
