The predicted salary is between 45000 - 55000 £ per year.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us. We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

We’re looking for a Social Value Lead to join our Northern England & Scotland Sustainability team, leading the delivery of social value initiatives that create lasting, positive impact for the communities where we work. This exciting role sits at the heart of delivering Kier’s Building for a Sustainable World framework, ensuring we embed social value into everything we do.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the Business Unit social value team, chairing meetings and taking accountability for regional targets and performance.
  • Partnering with site teams, clients and external stakeholders to develop and deliver effective, measurable social value plans.
  • Supporting bids and tenders, contributing compelling social value narratives that align with client priorities and regional needs.
  • Overseeing data collection, measurement and reporting, using specialist social value tools and frameworks.
  • Building and maintaining strong community partnerships, maximising social, economic and environmental impact across projects.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Have proven experience delivering social value at a strategic level, ideally within the construction or infrastructure sector.
  • Genuinely passionate about creating positive social change and improving outcomes for communities.
  • Communicate with confidence and credibility, able to build relationships at all levels, from site teams to senior clients.
  • Comfortable working with data, measurement frameworks and reporting, turning insight into action.
  • Enjoy leading, coaching and developing others, helping them grow their social value capability.
