Are you ready to lead a team that ensures quality and safety in highway development projects? You will be based in Brixworth, Northamptonshire. As Team Leader for Development Management Site Inspections, you will play a crucial role in monitoring the construction phase of highways that are built as part of new developments in both West Northamptonshire and North Northamptonshire.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of site inspectors, developing their skills and ensuring high performance.
- Monitor developer works for compliance with approved documentation and specifications.
- Monitor works within the highway to ensure operational and public safety, including traffic management compliance.
- Liaise with developers, designers, contractors, and the local highway authority's development management and technical audit teams to identify and agree any design changes required to deliver compliant, high-quality schemes.
- Ensure health and safety compliance on all projects.
Qualifications and experience
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in civil engineering or relevant experience.
- Significant experience supervising highway works on site, including knowledge of Section 38 and 278 processes.
- Understanding of Safety at Street Works and Road Works code of practice.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of CDM.
- Ability to follow technical, legal and administrative procedures accurately and consistently.
