We are looking for a Recovery Coordinator (Band 5) to join our well-established Drug and Alcohol Services team. This is a key role in delivering structured treatment and recovery support for individuals affected by substance misuse, including those prescribed opioid substitution therapy (OST).
What You'll Do:
- Manage a caseload of clients with complex needs, including those prescribed OST.
- Complete comprehensive assessments, risk management plans, and recovery plans.
- Deliver structured psychosocial interventions (PSI) and facilitate group work.
- Conduct regular care planning and reviews in line with national guidance.
- Work closely with multi-agency partners to provide holistic support.
- Contribute to safeguarding processes and risk escalation where required.

Main duties of the job:
To provide dedicated comprehensive support to people with drug use problems, their families, and friends within the organisational framework of STaRS (Staffordshire Trent and Recovery System). Provision of drug & alcohol treatment to Service Users within the locality. You will be responsible for holding a caseload of service users and being responsible for offering a range of interventions to those individuals. Supporting service users through their treatment journey from beginning to end. Embracing the concept of recovery and demonstrating this in your clinical work. Ensuring that your work is evidence-based, up to date, and in accordance with current policy and legislation. Keeping up to date and accurate records and documentation.

- Provide harm reduction advice, information, and support with an emphasis on safer drug use, safer sex, HIV, Hepatitis A, B, and C, and other blood borne infections.
- Offer Naloxone to all Clients due to risks presenting, or as a precautionary measure.
- Be responsible for maintaining a full caseload of complex clients as the key worker.
- Provide and record specific strength-based interventions in line with the module.
- Adhere to the module framework and ensure to adhere to the 4 phases module approach.
- Provide a range of structured psycho-social interventions including CBT based brief solution focused therapy and motivational enhancement techniques.
Person Specification:
Qualifications: Foundation Degree / HNC in related field which may include counselling, social work, nursing, psychology, human resources, social studies or equivalent experience.
Experience: Considerable experience of working with drug users. A sound experience of working with techniques such as CBT, Motivational interviewing, and Solution focused therapy.
