Are you passionate about supporting people on their recovery journey? We are looking for a Recovery Coordinator (Band 5) to join our well-established Drug and Alcohol Services team. This is a key role in delivering structured treatment and recovery support for individuals affected by substance misuse, including those prescribed opioid substitution therapy (OST).
What You'll Do
- Manage a caseload of clients with complex needs, including those prescribed OST.
- Complete comprehensive assessments, risk management plans, and recovery plans.
- Deliver structured psychosocial interventions (PSI) and facilitate group work.
- Conduct regular care planning and reviews in line with national guidance.
- Work closely with multi-agency partners to provide holistic support.
- Contribute to safeguarding processes and risk escalation where required.

Main duties of the job
- To provide dedicated comprehensive support to people with drug use problems, their families, and friends within the organisational framework of STaRS (Staffordshire Trent and Recovery System).
- Provision of drug & alcohol treatment to Service Users within the locality.
- You will be responsible for holding a caseload of service users and being responsible for offering a range of interventions to those individuals.
- Supporting service users through their treatment journey from beginning to end.
- Embracing the concept of recovery and demonstrating this in your clinical work.
- Ensuring that your work is evidence-based, up to date, and in accordance with current policy and legislation.
- Keeping up to date and accurate records and documentation.

Person Specification
- Qualifications: Foundation Degree / HNC in related field which may include counselling, social work, nursing, psychology, human resources, social studies or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Considerable experience of working with drug users. Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals. A sound experience of working with techniques such as CBT, Motivational interviewing, and Solution focused therapy.
