We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Operational Lead to join our Inclusion Thurrock services on a full-time permanent basis.
The primary role of the post will be to use their specialist knowledge from working within mental health services to lead on the day to day operation in Thurrock ensuring that ongoing delivery is coordinated and consistent.
As part of this role the post holder will develop and maintain key relationships with commissioners, partner agencies, teams and clinical leaders across the services.
The post holder will champion service user involvement in all aspects of the service.

The post-holder will work with the Senior Management team to plan and oversee the implementation of the mental health service contracts ensuring that all service provision is coordinated, evidence based and effective. The post holder will lead on the ongoing delivery providing strategic and operational leadership for the service.
The post-holder will promote the service and manage positive multi-agency relations particularly with key stakeholders. The post-holder will ensure the service is able to meet compliance with clinical and operational standards and contractual requirements and ensure regular reporting links are in place with GP Practices, the Integrated Care Board (ICB), and to Trust Networks.
The post holder is responsible for overall service standards (quality, safety, service user satisfaction and meaningful involvement) and effective joint clinical governance in conjunction with the Clinical Lead.
The post-holder is responsible for implementing relevant service strategies which promote engagement and access for under-represented communities, including those populations where health inequalities lead to impoverished health outcomes.
The post holder will ensure that there is active service user involvement in the design, delivery and evaluation of the service.
This includes in person working with flexibility.

- In conjunction with the Clinical Lead and Mental Health Lead develop and direct service implementation and development. This should take into account the relevant local and national initiatives.
- Develop revised models of service delivery in line with the NHS Long Term Plan, NICE guidance and with relevant national performance targets.
- Produce a workforce plan to support the needs of a changing service.
- Develop strategies which promote involvement and engagement with all communities and address health inequalities
- Participate and lead the planning of stake holder events promoting the service, the Trust and partnership services.
- In conjunction with the Clinical Lead and Governance processes deliver effective and efficient mental health services provision.
- To develop and maintain high quality effective services. To develop and lead change management processes as required specific to evolving the service.
- To support the development of performance management systems to ensure that the service performance and quality can be monitored against key local and national performance indicators.
