We have been exclusively retained by a rapidly expanding leader in the Irish logistics sector to find a strategic Regional Business Development Manager. Our client is currently experiencing exponential growth and is seeking a high-calibre professional to drive its expansion across the island of Ireland and into the UK market. This is a consultative role for a specialist who understands that modern logistics is about building trust and solving complex supply chain challenges.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Group Commercial Director, you will act as a key advisor to a sophisticated client base. While our client offers a full suite of end-to-end supply chain services, this role is specifically focused on the growth and optimisation of warehousing and storage solutions. You will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities and nurturing existing accounts, particularly within the FMCG sector, where precision and reliability are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth: Lead the sales activity plan with a primary focus on expanding the company’s high-capacity warehousing and storage footprint.
  • Consultative Sales: Identify and convert new business opportunities through a relationship-first approach, moving away from transactional sales to long-term partnerships.
  • Account Development: Work closely with a loyal existing customer base to identify upsell opportunities and integrate additional logistics services.
  • Market Intelligence: Act as the "eyes and ears" on the ground, gathering industry insights to help steer the company’s future commercial strategy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the internal commercial and marketing teams to deliver professional tenders and bespoke client presentations.

The Person

We are seeking a self-motivated professional who can balance a personable approach with a results-driven mindset. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Business Development, specifically within Warehousing and Storage for the FMCG industry. Proven experience operating across the All-Ireland region and GB, with a strong understanding of the unique logistics landscape in these markets. Ability to present logistics solutions as a strategic fit for a client’s business, rather than just a service. A self-starter who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment and is motivated by hitting growth milestones. Flexibility to travel across Ireland and the UK to engage with clients and visit operational hubs.

Why this role?

Our client is committed to rewarding the talent that fuels their growth. A highly lucrative salary and bonus package, company car and a comprehensive suite of benefits, including life insurance and wellness programs, employee discounts & gym memberships, access to certified training and clear pathways for career progression, a professional, supportive environment that values genuine human connection and professional integrity, and exceptional progression opportunities.
