As the Management Accountant, you will act as a trusted financial partner and oversee the financial health of a busy production division. A central focus of this role will be bridging the gap between commercial demand and operational capacity by liaising directly with the Sales and Production teams to optimise performance and product margins.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Sales and Production to align commercial pricing and pipelines with manufacturing capacity, material costs, and schedules.
- Taking ownership of manufacturing cost accounting (including raw materials, labour, and overheads) and leading month-end stocktakes and valuations.
- Investigating discrepancies between standard and actual production costs to help the team reduce waste and maximise profitability.
- Preparing accurate monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow analysis.
- Supporting the annual budgeting process and delivering rolling forecasts based on sales projections and factory capacity.

Strong practical experience with standard costing models, margin analysis, and variance tracking. Professionally qualified or part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent). A full driving licence and access to a vehicle, as this role involves splitting your time between two local sites.
