The Role

As a Transport Planner, you will need to be highly organised and efficient. This isn't just about scheduling, it's about being the strategic point of contact who designs the most efficient, cost-effective routes across NI, ROI & GB.

Responsibilities

  • Meet customer requirements for the safe and efficient transport of their goods according to operating procedures and statutory requirements across GB.
  • Utilise strong transport planning skills to map efficient routes for HGV and Class 1 vehicles.
  • Track trailer movements and keep our customers updated.
  • Temperature controlled, time sensitive planning.
  • Liaise with subcontractors.
  • Brief drivers in relation to routes and traffic management.
  • Plan loads across various jurisdictions.

Essential Criteria

  • Transport Planning experience with strong geographical knowledge.
  • Must be experienced within chilled, frozen, ambient goods, drinks or Pharma.
  • Proficient using TMS.
  • Effective communicator both written and verbal.
  • Have high-level IT skills as the complete operation is digital.
  • Good timekeeping and organisational skills.
  • Strong problem solving ability.
