Day-to-day duties:

  • Meet customer requirements for the safe and efficient transport of their goods according to operating procedures and statutory requirements across NI.
  • Strong transport planning skills and experience planning routes for HGV and Class 1 vehicles.
  • Tracking trailer movements and keeping our customers updated.
  • Checking supplier documentation against loads.
  • Liaising with subcontractors.
  • Briefing drivers in relation to routes and traffic management.
  • Preparing shift handovers and measuring KPIs.
  • Coordinating loads across various locations in NI.

The Person:

To be considered for the opportunity, candidates must hold the following skills and experiences:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Transport Planning experience with strong NI geographical knowledge within logistics.
  • Effective communicator both written and verbal and exceptional organisational skills.
  • High-level IT skills as the complete operation is digital.
  • Good timekeeping and being able to work in a structured manner adhering to timetable requirements.
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Flexible attitude to working hours and shift patterns to support the needs of the business.
