Day-to-day duties:
- Meet customer requirements for the safe and efficient transport of their goods according to operating procedures and statutory requirements across NI.
- Strong transport planning skills and experience planning routes for HGV and Class 1 vehicles.
- Tracking trailer movements and keeping our customers updated.
- Checking supplier documentation against loads.
- Liaising with subcontractors.
- Briefing drivers in relation to routes and traffic management.
- Preparing shift handovers and measuring KPIs.
- Coordinating loads across various locations in NI.
The Person:
To be considered for the opportunity, candidates must hold the following skills and experiences:
- Minimum of 3 years of Transport Planning experience with strong NI geographical knowledge within logistics.
- Effective communicator both written and verbal and exceptional organisational skills.
- High-level IT skills as the complete operation is digital.
- Good timekeeping and being able to work in a structured manner adhering to timetable requirements.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Flexible attitude to working hours and shift patterns to support the needs of the business.
