Butterfly Shift
- Work 50% of the Year: You only work 7 days out of every 14, giving you half the year off before touching your annual leave.
- The 5-Day Break: Every second week, you enjoy a full 5-day block of freedom (Friday through Tuesday) for travel or rest.

The Role
As the transport planner, you will play a vital role in planning driver routes most efficiently and effectively across Northern Ireland. You will be responsible for the following duties:
- Take ownership of the daily transport schedule by accurately planning and assigning Service Order Requests (SORs) to drivers.
- Ensure all delivery requests are met efficiently and on time, maintaining a high standard of service for every customer.
- Serve as the central point of contact, ensuring seamless communication between drivers, customers, and internal departments.
- Work closely with the internal Sales and Customer Services teams to anticipate and resolve issues that could impact delivery times, keeping everyone well-informed and updated.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with drivers, customers, and colleagues.
- Maintain meticulous records and files, ensuring that information is accurate and readily available.
- Create and provide detailed reports and delivery schedules to customers and various internal departments.
- Proactively manage your workload, demonstrate strong initiative, and work with a high degree of autonomy.
The Person
To be considered for this position, applicants must clearly demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience as a Transport Planner, ideally within a fast-paced logistics or transport environment, dealing with HGV transportation.
- Strong geographical knowledge of Northern Ireland or ROI or GB is essential for effective route planning.
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with drivers, customers, and colleagues at all levels of the business.
- High level of IT literacy, with the ability to navigate digital platforms and systems, as all operational processes are managed digitally.
- A solid understanding of current transport legislation and regulations.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage your time effectively to adhere to strict timetables and deadlines.
- Proven ability to proactively identify and resolve operational challenges with a logical and efficient approach.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to working hours and shift patterns to support the operational demands of the business.
