They are looking for an experienced Accounting Technician (Qualified or Part-Qualified) or a skilled Bookkeeper to join their close‑knit, forward‑thinking team in a full‑time, permanent role based right in the city centre.
With a dedicated team of nine, including three partners, this firm offers a social, genuinely collaborative environment where everyone pulls together. It is a fast‑paced but highly supportive office where your work directly impacts regional business growth.
The Role
The successful applicant will work closely with the partners to look after a diverse portfolio of small‑to‑medium enterprises and sole traders across Northern Ireland. Your day‑to‑day duties will include:
- Preparing accounts up to trial balance and performing detailed analysis of banking transactions, including expenses and ledgers.
- Managing comprehensive bank reconciliations and handling end‑to‑end VAT processing.
- Overseeing payroll summaries and compliance for client businesses.
- Acting as a reliable point of contact to support local business owners with their everyday financial queries.
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties to support the wider team and partners as required.
The Person
To be considered for this role, applicants must clearly demonstrate:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working within an accountancy practice.
- Experience in processing payroll is desirable.
- A strong, practical grasp of foundational accounting principles and routine practice duties.
- Proficiency in modern cloud‑accounting platforms like Xero, Sage, or similar software.
- Exceptional Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
