Description

Are you fluent in both Japanese and English? Do you have a keen eye for data and are passionate about developing a career in environmental sustainability? We have an excellent opportunity for you to join our fast-paced and diligent scoring team.

Our client scores companies and cities on their environmental performance. We are looking for several scorers to contribute to the successful delivery of the 2025 scoring process. This involves applying scoring methodologies to responses related to climate change, water security, and forests.

Successful candidates will receive training to qualify as a recognized scorer, including three weeks of full-time paid training followed by an exam. This experience could lead to excellent opportunities and accelerate your career in sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work independently and as part of the scoring team to deliver the annual scoring cycle.
• Undertake and pass training to become a certified scorer.
• Score corporate and/or city responses accurately according to scoring criteria.
• Perform quality assurance checks against scoring standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
• Proficiency with IT tools, especially MS Office, including basic Excel skills.
• Diligent work ethic with a proven ability to work independently under pressure.
• (Desirable) Experience in climate change, water security, deforestation, corporate sustainability, or sustainable cities.
• Language skills: English required; additional languages such as Mandarin, Portuguese, or Spanish are a plus.

Location and Hours:

• Training begins September 2025; work starts October 2025; role ends in November.
• Work from home expected.
• Standard UK working hours: 9 am – 6 pm.

Equipment Requirements:

• Own a laptop; a second monitor is recommended but not required.
• Licenses for necessary software will be provided.
