Overview of the role
We're looking for a fast-working video editor/videographer to support our editorial, marketing, and events teams across our market-leading B2B financial services brands — including Investment Week, Professional Adviser, Professional Pensions, Cover and Investment IQ. You'll produce a range of video content for professional audiences, from hard-hitting news stories and mini-documentaries to webinars, event highlight reels, and occasional motion graphics pieces. This is a permanent role and sits within the ARC Central Design team, and the candidate will work alongside other motion graphics and video editors. The preferred candidate will have some previous video production experience and be confident in shooting and editing either in-house at our London based studio or on location. The role would suit a mid-weight editor.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Edit footage to a high standard, incorporating motion graphics, animation, and video effects (event stings, promos, social clips, highlight reels)
- Support Studio Manager with filming editorial and event content: interviews, mini-documentaries, explainer videos, and coverage of conferences and awards shows
- Support Studio manager with managing live-streams from the studio
- Work from briefs provided by editors and project managers, delivering to tight deadlines
- Turn raw footage into multiple assets where required (e.g. one shoot into several short-form pieces)
- Maintain a consistent visual style in line with brand guidelines
- Film both on location at events and in-studio, as required per project
- Occasionally produce/edit motion graphic videos
About You
- Proven experience in video editing and filming, with strong editing skills
- Some experience of working with motion graphics
- Excellent attention to detail
- Organised and able to manage multiple projects and turnarounds independently
- Able to work independently
- Communicate with other team members and staff effectively and concisely
- Ability to problem solve under pressure, and work fast to deadlines, without sacrificing quality
Technical Skills
- Degree/course in video production and/or digital media
- Proven skills in filming and editing
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects
- Competent with the use of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
