Overview of the role

We are offering a unique opportunity for a recent graduate with a background in economics (or a related financial discipline) to begin a career in content, marketing, and financial media. As a Graduate Content Strategist you will support the creation and delivery of content across all of Incisive Works’ campaigns. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to combine an interest in economics with creativity and communication, and build a long-term career in content, media, and marketing within financial services. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you will build core skills across:

  • Writing short and long-form articles from key industry experts, suitable for publishing to a B2B audience
  • Creation of marketing elements, and the associated campaign execution
  • Financial and economic storytelling
  • Client communication and relationship building
  • Learn how to manage content workflows, timelines, and internal coordination

You will work closely with experienced content strategists, marketers, and designers, gaining exposure to a wide range of formats including articles, reports, email campaigns, videos, and podcasts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and write short- and long-form content on financial and economic topics; usually from interviews with industry experts or survey reports
  • Support the production of thought leadership, reports, and market commentary and write engaging summaries for digital platforms
  • Assist in writing email campaigns, advert and marketing copy to drive audience engagement
  • Support senior team members on client projects, including research, drafting, and revisions
  • Proofread and edit content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency
  • Collaborate with designers and marketers on content formats (infographics, video, etc.)

Education & Knowledge

  • A degree in economics, finance, business
  • Strong understanding of macroeconomic themes, financial markets, and investment concepts

Writing & Communication

  • Excellent written English with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly
  • Demonstrable interest in writing content creation

Mindset & Skills

  • Independently curious, inquisitive, and commercially aware – a self-starter able to deliver content accurately, quickly
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Willingness to learn and take feedback in a fast-paced environment
