Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our Finance Team. As our Operations Finance Assistant you will be responsible for Production and Order Management, Stock Controls and other associated finance and administrative tasks. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth functioning of the operations finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing of customer orders for bulk spirit and recording on the DRAMS system, liaising directly with HMRC on all aspects relating to spirit and duty movements.
- Coordination with other distilleries and bottling halls to ensure production schedules align and are recorded on the DRAMS & SAP systems.
- Ensure that the DRAMS stock management system is kept up to date.
- Reconciling all distillery balance sheet accounts and updating all movements in a timely manner.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork, including invoices, certificates and shipping documents are completed and compliant with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Raise Purchase Orders and process purchase and sales ledger invoices in the SAP and DRAMS systems.
- Assist with Stock planning & reviews and liaising with the Glasgow office on all matters relating to bulk stock.
- Assist with the budgeting and forecasting cycles.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2-4 years of experience in the whisky industry within a distilling environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain.
- Experience in SAP and DRAMS is desirable.
- Proficient in Excel and all Microsoft applications.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills across departments and with external bodies.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
