You’ll play a pivotal leadership role at the heart of Inchcape’s global finance function. You’ll be accountable for the delivery of high‑quality, timely and accurate external financial reporting, ensuring Inchcape meets its statutory, regulatory and investor obligations across a complex, multi‑market organisation. Beyond technical excellence, this role is about setting clear standards, strengthening governance and driving confidence in Group financial information. You’ll shape Group accounting policy, build strong control environments, and act as a trusted partner to senior leaders across Finance and the wider business enabling effective decision‑making and supporting Inchcape’s Accelerate+ ambitions as the Group continues to grow and evolve. This is a true financial leadership role across a complex and diverse business.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the preparation and delivery of the Group’s consolidated financial statements, including Annual Report & Accounts and interim reporting
- Own the Group consolidation process, reporting calendar and external reporting timetable
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, UK statutory requirements, listing obligations and evolving regulatory standards
- Provide authoritative technical accounting expertise across complex and judgemental areas, including M&A and new IFRS requirements
- Lead the relationship with external auditors, ensuring well‑controlled and efficient audit processes
- Maintain strong financial governance, controls and risk management in partnership with Internal Control and Internal Audit
- Develop, lead and inspire the Group Financial Reporting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
About You
To be successful in this role you’ll need to be a confident finance leader with strong technical credibility and the ability to operate effectively at Group and Board level. You’ll bring:
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Significant experience in group financial reporting within a listed or large multinational environment
- Deep technical knowledge of IFRS and UK statutory reporting requirements
- Proven experience preparing consolidated financial statements and managing external audits
- Strong leadership capability, with experience developing high‑performing teams
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial matters clearly and effectively
