We're working with a well-established specialist HGV hire company looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their team in Slade Heath, Wolverhampton.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 16:30, 45 hours per week

Salary and Compensation: Basic salary: £48,000 to £50,000 per year. Overtime paid at 1.5x the hourly rate. This schedule and compensation structure ensure a standard full-time workweek with additional earning potential through overtime.

About the Company: We are a specialist vehicle hire company, owned and operated by the same dedicated senior management team, with additional depots across the UK. We provide a first-class nationwide service to a growing client base. We specialise in supplying high-quality, modern vehicles to the Utility, Civil Engineering and Highway Maintenance sectors, including Asphalt Hotboxes, Tippers, Tipper Grabs and 4x4s, for both short- and long-term self-drive hire. This is an ideal environment for a motivated Mobile HGV Technician looking to develop their skills further.

The Role Will Involve:

  • Working on a range of Commercial Vehicles including 4x4s, tippers, tipper grabs and hot boxes
  • Vehicles ranging from 2.5 to 32 tonne GVM
  • Vehicle diagnostics
  • Inspections and servicing
  • Repair of vehicle defects
  • MOT preparation
  • Preventative maintenance

The Successful HGV Technician Must Hold:

  • HGV / Commercial Vehicle Mechanical qualifications equivalent to NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / Full Main Dealership Apprenticeship
  • Full current UK driving licence
  • A Class 2 HGV licence or Class 1 desirable but not essential; however, candidates without this may be supported in obtaining the Class 2 HGV, subject to company agreement and conditions
