We need a Quality Manager for a company based in Basildon, an industry-leading high-precision manufacturing company.

Salary up to Β£60,000

Hours: 40 hours per week (Mon-Thu 8 am – 5 pm, Fri 8 am – 2 pm)

About the Role: As the Quality Manager, you will be the driving force behind site-wide compliance, ensuring adherence to AS9100 REV:D certification and the company quality policy. You will support operations, liaise with customers, and implement effective quality processes to maintain and enhance product standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain the Quality Management System (QMS) to industry standards (AS9100)
  • Manage MRB processes, defect reviews, and corrective actions
  • Handle SCAR responses and customer quality queries
  • Oversee First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and buddy checks
  • Conduct internal and external audits
  • Create and track quality metrics and KPIs
  • Collaborate with Inspection, Engineering, and Production teams
  • Sign off Certificates of Conformity (CofC) for deliveries
  • Support new business development with the commercial team
  • Champion Continuous Improvement (CI) projects

  • Experience: Proven background in Manufacturing/Engineering as a Quality Manager or ready for your next step up
  • Standards Expertise: Hands-on experience with AS9100 and FAIs
  • Problem Solver: Skilled in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
  • Customer-Focused: Comfortable liaising directly with customers and suppliers
