We are currently recruiting for a Mobile HGV Technician to cover the South West on a paid door-to-door basis. This role is home-based and ideally suited to candidates located in or around Wiltshire.
The successful Mobile HGV Technician will report to the South West Area Manager at our Taunton depot and will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of commercial vehicles across customer sites. This role requires a skilled Mobile HGV Technician capable of working independently while providing excellent service to our clients.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Mobile HGV Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out vehicle inspections
- Vehicle servicing and breakdown repairs
- Working on a range of commercial vehicles including tippers, tipper grabs, and hot boxes
- Vehicles ranging from 7.2 to 32-tonne GVM
- Out of hours call out 1 in 9
- Using R2C (advantageous but not essential – full training provided)

RequirementsThe successful Mobile HGV Technician must hold:
- A full current driver’s licence
- Class 2 HGV licence (beneficial)
- Qualifications in HGV / Commercial Vehicle Mechanics to the equivalent of:
- NVQ Level 3
- City & Guilds
- Full Main Dealership Apprenticeship
- In-house training
- Overtime available at x1.5
- Branded uniform
- Pension
- Fully fitted service van
- Mobile phone
- Fuel card
- 20 days’ paid holiday, plus public holidays (28 days total per full year worked)
