- Hourly Rate: negotiable relevant to experience
- Shift Schedule: "one week on, one week off" shift schedule with early and late rotations
- Early Shift: (includes a shift allowance):
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Friday: 6:00 AM to 1:30 PM
- Late Shift: (includes a shift allowance):
- Monday to Thursday: 1:45 PM to 9:45 PM
- Friday: 1:15 PM to 8:45 PM
Mechanical Inspector Key Responsibilities:
- First off inspection of machined components and complex assemblies to drawings and CAD data.
- Complete final inspection and AS9100 first article inspection sheets as required documenting product conformity.
- Maintain a working knowledge of quality assurance procedure requirements as they apply to inspection and manufacturing operations.
- Document nonconforming product as required by internal and/or customer requirements.
- Ensure that tooling used as media of acceptance remain calibrated according to internal and/or customer requirements.
- Ensure correct material handling, identification and traceability of product throughout the manufacturing sequence.
- Perform all functions of a Quality Control Inspector as required by workload and production schedule needs.
Mechanical Inspector Qualifications & Experience:
- Good knowledge of GD & T, SPC and the requirements of ISO 9001.
- Ideally conversant with PC-DMIS and/or Zeis Calypso software.
- Machining shop experience with various aluminium alloys, steel and titanium is strongly desired.
- Knowledge and proficiency in the use of basic inspection tools.
- Ability to evaluate and verify results using first principles.
