A specialist manufacturer of high-precision metallic and PTFE components for the global Aerospace sector is seeking a Quality Manager on a 4-day working week, reporting to the General Manager. You will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and monitoring Quality Management Systems, leading the Inspection team, and acting as the company’s management representative in all quality matters. The role includes running the inspection and test departments, creating and approving FAIR/LAIR, and working confidently to ISO 9100/AS9100 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain quality control and ensure compliance with business and customer requirements.
- Oversee Calibration, Testing, Qualification, and approvals.
- Conduct inspections and audits at all stages of manufacturing.
- Train colleagues on VisualFAIR software and manage team development.
- Plan and conduct internal and external audits.
- Communicate and manage team workload, supporting continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience:
- Aerospace sector experience with FAIR/LAIR knowledge.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience with OASIS, ISO 9100/AS9100, and EASA.
- Qualified to conduct audits.
- Team leadership and development experience.
- Strong attention to detail, initiative, and time management.
Additional Info:
- 4-day week: Monday–Thursday 06:45–16:30
