We are recruiting for CNC Milling Machinist / Setter / Operator for a company based in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire, £30,000 to £37,000 depending on experience. Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm, early finishes on Friday 8am to 3pm.
The Company: We are a leading company specialising in customised electrical enclosures, automation products, and engineering solutions and owned by an EOT (Employee Ownership Trust). We operate across various sectors, including electrical distribution, rail, and sheet metal fabrication.
The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machinery to produce accurately machined enclosures. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Setting up and calibrating machines
- Performing routine maintenance
- Monitoring the production process
- Adhering to quality control standards
- Troubleshooting equipment as needed
The role requires adherence to safety protocols and collaboration with the engineering and production teams to ensure efficient workflow.
Equipment: The majority of the work is carried out on Steinhauer Modbus Vertical CNC Milling Machines, 2 axis and CNC Innovations ISEL Gantry Milling Machine 3 & 4 axis.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Proficiency in Machine Operation, including the ability to set up and operate CNC machinery
- Expertise in Machining and Milling processes
- Strong skills in Quality Control to ensure high standards of production
- Experience working with various types of Machinery in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Understanding of workplace safety practices and protocols in a manufacturing setting
- Previous experience in the electrical or industrial control sector is an advantage
- Relevant certifications and/or vocational qualifications in CNC machining or a related field
