Inbound Talent is proud to be partnering with a PE-backed, industry leading IoT connectivity business who are on a massive growth expansion, and now looking to add technical and leadership expertise to their Networks function.

The Company: An IoT-focused Mobile Network Operator with its own in-house mobile core infrastructure, managing millions of active SIMs globally across a wide range of industries. Following a significant acquisition, the business is now expanding its technical capability and investing in a series of major network projects — starting with the integration of a new VoLTE IMS platform. This is a technically led business that builds things properly and needs the expertise to match.

What You'll Be Doing: This is a senior individual contributor role. You won't be managing a team, you'll be the technical authority. Responsibilities include:

  • Owning the end-to-end integration of a new VoLTE IMS platform into the live mobile core, the first and most critical project for this person, with the RFP already underway.
  • Designing and delivering customer signalling integrations: IMSI donation, core network integration, signalling interconnect, API and billing integration.
  • Leading technical workshops with customers and internal stakeholders, translating requirements into secure, production-ready designs.
  • Producing HLDs, LLDs, call flows, signalling diagrams, test plans and operational runbooks.
  • Acting as the senior escalation point for complex signalling, IMS, VoLTE, Diameter, SS7 and charging issues.
  • Mentoring the wider engineering team and building internal capability across mobile core, signalling and IMS domains.

Once the VoLTE IMS project is delivered, the next phase brings STP and DRA deployment, direct signalling link provisioning, and HLR/HSS migration. This is project-based work with multiple concurrent workstreams, it won't slow down.

About You: Extensive hands-on experience in mobile core, signalling or IMS, from an MNO, MVNO, IoT operator, MVNE or telecoms vendor. Key qualifications include:

  • End-to-end VoLTE IMS deployment and integration experience, not just one layer of it, the whole thing.
  • Deep SS7 and SIGTRAN knowledge: point codes, global title translation, STP configuration.
  • Strong Diameter and DRA experience: routing realms, peer configuration, failover, integration with HSS, OCS and PCRF.
  • SIP and IMS call flow expertise: VoLTE registration, authentication, call setup, troubleshooting at trace level.
  • HLR/HSS subscriber provisioning, profile configuration, roaming behaviour and integration.
  • Hands-on experience with BroadForward signalling platforms and/or Nokia CMP is advantageous.
  • Someone who has delivered end-to-end, not just one piece, and who can self-start and be the single point of technical reference when needed.

What's in It for You: A strong, market led salary and compensation package. The most technically substantive permanent role in this space you'll see this year, genuine depth, not a theoretical architecture position. First project ownership from day one: a live VoLTE IMS integration handed to you to deliver. A remote-first role with a business that understands this calibre of person doesn't sit in one place. The chance to build something from scratch in an environment that values expertise over hierarchy. A clear path to shape how this business's technical capability evolves, your knowledge will directly influence the roadmap.
