Responsibilities
- Setting goals, objectives and allocating tasks to operational supervisors on a daily basis
- Ensure customers’ expectations are met or exceeded by service levels provided
- Liaise with Managers to resolve issues and improve operational efficiencies
- To be involved in any staffing issues or disciplinary procedures
- Maintain a flexible approach to all working practices
- Promote positive and effective staff input
- To be proactive in problem solving and providing initiatives to the operation
- Utilise the warehouse management system (WMS) to increase efficiency in all operational areas – including processes & task management
- Provide assistance with operational administration
- Maintain stock accuracy
- Contract management, including associated meetings
- Good Housekeeping and Working Practices
- To play an active role in all H&S activities within the operation on a daily basis
- Maintain daily inspections and ensure regulatory testing of all MHE equipment
- Ensure the shelving and racking is fit for purpose and conduct regular inspections
- Managing Staff Rota’s
- Management reports
- Identify and report to the Group Operations Manager any issues that may adversely affect the smooth running of the operation.
- To carry out project tasks reasonably requested by line Manager and the Directors.
- Ensure work rates and performance are continuously monitored and regularly reported
