We're supporting a fast-growing technology product business as they continue to scale their platform engineering capability and invest heavily in the infrastructure, tooling and automation that underpins a globally-used product. This is an opportunity for a Platform Engineer with a strong Software Engineering background to join a highly talented team, helping to build and evolve a modern cloud platform that enables engineers to deliver software quickly, securely and at scale.

We're looking for someone who understands infrastructure, but also understands developers. Someone who has spent time building software themselves and can bridge the gap between engineering and platform teams.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing and building scalable AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
  • Developing and maintaining reusable Terraform modules and platform tooling
  • Supporting containerised workloads and orchestration platforms
  • Building and improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Driving platform reliability, security, observability and operational excellence
  • Working closely with Software Engineers to improve developer experience and productivity
  • Contributing to architectural decisions across cloud, platform and application delivery
  • Helping shape platform engineering best practices within a growing product organisation
  • Supporting the evolution of internal developer platforms and self-service capabilities

What We're Looking For

  • Strong commercial experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer
  • Previous background in Software Engineering (Go, Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript or similar)
  • Deep AWS experience across cloud-native architectures
  • Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code expertise
  • Experience working with container technologies and orchestration platforms
  • CI/CD experience using modern automation tooling
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, scalability and reliability principles
  • Experience working within product-led engineering environments
  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for solving complex technical challenges
