Contract Opportunity – Cloud Solution Designer (Azure Transformation)I\’m currently supporting a large, globally operating organisation undergoing a significant Azure cloud transformation , and they\’re looking for an experienced Cloud Solution Designer to shape how cloud is adopted at scale.This role is not about building infrastructure day to day. It\’s about designing the right cloud operating model so platform and delivery teams can build safely, consistently and at pace.3-month contract (mid-February start)UK-based / remote-friendlyWhat you\’ll be doing:Performing technical due diligence on an existing Azure estate against Microsoft best practicesDesigning governance frameworks, policies and standards that balance security with developer autonomyDefining recommendations for Azure landing zones, resource organisation and platform architectureProducing clear, practical documentation and templates that engineering teams will actually useWorking closely with security, infrastructure and architecture teams to align on cloud operating modelsEvaluating tooling and automation approaches such as Bicep, Terraform and Azure PolicyWhat we\’re looking for:Deep expertise in Azure governance, security and platform designProven experience designing cloud operating models for large enterprises (not just implementing them)Confidence working with senior stakeholders to drive alignment on complex decisionsA pragmatic mindset – knowing when \”good enough to start\” beats over-engineeringNice to have:Experience in highly regulated environmentsKnowledge of federated operating modelsWhy this role?You\’ll have real influence over how a large, multi-hundred-person IT organisation adopts cloud at scale.
