My client is hiring a Digital Workplace / UC Engineer to join a busy engineering team within a highly regulated financial services environment. The immediate need is a high-profile office relocation, with a significant body of work around Cisco communications and AV infrastructure. The contract hire will focus primarily on the office move and associated communications projects in the run up, during the move and then settling everything into the new office.
The immediate priorities
- Cisco Unified Communications and AV projects
- Voice recording and communications compliance
- Office relocation activities
- Supporting communication platforms across multiple international offices
The business operates in a heavily regulated environment where all communications must be recorded to satisfy FCA regulations. Experience with any of the following is a real bonus (but not essential): Red Box (voice recording), Luware (Teams / SaaS voice), and SteelEye (comms compliance).
The broader role
Over time this becomes a genuinely multi-skilled platform engineering role - someone happy wearing several hats rather than a single-domain specialist. That spans Microsoft infrastructure, Windows Server, communications platforms, cloud and AWS (as the cloud migration continues), and general infrastructure engineering.
