The Role
We’re seeking a highly capable Cloud Project Manager to lead the cloud migration programme within the European Applications department. You will be responsible for the delivery of migration projects to AWS, working closely with stakeholders across IT, governance, operations, and leadership to ensure milestones are met and risks are effectively managed. This is a high-impact role where you will help shape the cloud roadmap, align project activities with broader strategic goals, and establish robust governance around delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver the European Applications cloud migration programme to AWS
- Define and maintain the transformation roadmap in collaboration with senior stakeholders
- Enforce project governance in line with organisational standards
- Coordinate working groups and monitor progress through defined metrics
- Identify risks, manage issues, and ensure mitigation strategies are in place
- Provide clear and regular reporting to the Cloud Governance Group and Technology Management
- Promote a culture of testing and effective transition to operations, embedding cloud metrics into BAU reporting
- Support efforts to drive automation and operational efficiencies across cloud services
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated experience delivering cloud migration projects (AWS experience is essential)
- Proven ability to manage complex technology projects in financial services or other regulated sectors
- Familiarity with project management frameworks and the ability to tailor approaches to suit requirements
- A self-starter with the ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams and remote stakeholders
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including influencing at senior levels
- Proficiency with tools such as Atlassian Suite (Jira/Confluence) and Microsoft Office
- Relevant project management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile)
- A background in application development or infrastructure is highly desirable
