This is a rare opportunity for a driven, disciplined, and commercially focused sales professional to join a high-performing team at a pivotal point in our growth journey. As Business Development Manager, you will be the face of the company responsible for identifying and winning new business, deepening relationships with existing clients, and delivering consultative, solutions-led sales across our full product range.
- Proactively identify, target, and develop new business opportunities across the automated gate, barrier, and access control market, building a strong and well-managed pipeline at all times.
- Manage and strategically grow a portfolio of existing client accounts, ensuring consistently high levels of service, satisfaction, and retention.
- Conduct site surveys, technical consultations, and client-facing presentations, delivering compelling proposals that address real client needs and overcome objections with confidence and credibility.
- Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key decision-makers across specifiers, contractors, architects, facilities managers, local authorities, and end users.
- Prepare detailed quotes, project specifications, and tailored proposals in collaboration with internal technical and operations teams.
- Own your sales pipeline from prospecting through to close, maintaining accurate and up-to-date CRM records and providing regular, structured reporting to the Head of Sales.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions, building the company's profile and your own as a credible expert in the sector.
Proven track record in field-based, solutions-led B2B sales, ideally within automated gates, barriers, access control, door automation, security systems, or a closely related technical sector. Demonstrated ability to win new business and manage complex, project-based sales cycles from initial contact through to contract and delivery. Excellent rapport-building skills across all levels, from site operative to boardroom decision-maker. You build trust quickly and maintain it over the long term. Comfortable using CRM systems to manage pipeline, forecast accurately, and report clearly. Full UK driving licence. Resilience - you understand that sales is not always linear. Team-first mindset - you contribute to a positive, high-performance culture. You are creative, persistent, and client-centric in everything you do.
