Working Hours
We operate a 37.5-hour working week designed to support work-life balance. We offer flexible start and finish times between 8am and 6pm, provided that core hours of 10am to 4pm are covered for team collaboration and meetings.
Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will have the freedom to focus on quality engineering without unnecessary complexity. This is an opportunity to take ownership, build influence, and enjoy real autonomy. You’ll be part of the Belfast office, contributing to its ongoing development while working across diverse sectors including commercial, residential, healthcare, and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design on projects from concept to delivery
- Collaborate closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure high-quality engineering solutions are developed and implemented
- Support management in client relationships
- Manage project costs and prepare client cost reports related to electrical installations
- Implement successful electrical design solutions and develop engineering strategies aligned with client briefs
- Work alongside Project Directors to establish project requirements and deliverables
- Attend site meetings, carry out inspections, and review contractors’ technical submittals
- Prepare detailed site reports, project status updates, and verify installations against agreed designs
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and ensure knowledge dissemination
- Collaborate with other engineers and technicians for fully coordinated designs
- Develop BCAR Inspection plans and monitor installation quality and project progress
- Represent the company at site and technical meetings
Your Experience
- Essential Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
- 5+ years’ experience in consultancy-based electrical design
- Confidence in leading designs and supporting junior engineers
- Chartered or working toward Chartered or Associate Engineer status
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, practical approach to problem-solving
- Be proficient in the design of electrical systems for buildings including in the use of design software tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Amtech, DIALux)
