This role is crucial in maintaining and developing the integrity of service charge systems, supporting accurate service charge apportionment, and ensuring robust financial controls across housing, finance, and procurement platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the system administrator and gatekeeper of the service charge module within the housing management system, including system housekeeping, user access, chart of accounts, and reporting.
  • Maintain strong controls across integrated systems.
  • Lead on system configuration to support accurate cost apportionment for estates, blocks, and properties.
  • Set up and maintain service charge codes and services; collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure accurate mapping.
  • Run system test cycles ahead of live apportionment activity and drive continuous improvements.
  • Deliver end-to-end service charge processes, ensuring timely and accurate estimates and reconciliations.
  • Support cross-functional teams in the creation of admin units and application of charges.
  • Produce detailed reports to support reconciliations and ensure data integrity.
  • Assist with system projects, user acceptance testing (UAT), process documentation, and training.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Part-qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience.
  • Proven knowledge of service charge legislation and processes.
  • Strong system administration experience within housing/finance systems (e.g., NEC, SUN, Integra P2P or equivalents).
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial control.
  • Confident handling large datasets and comfortable with tools such as Excel (intermediate to advanced), Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong communicator, able to simplify complex financial/system information for a range of stakeholders.
  • Proactive, analytical, and solutions-focused with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in housing or large, complex organisations is highly advantageous.
