The Role
We are seeking an ambitious Audit Manager or Senior Manager with a strong technical background and a passion for social purpose and the not-for-profit sector. You will be joining the leading provider of audit services to this sector, working with a high-profile portfolio of clients, from innovative start-ups to well-established, prestigious organisations — including:
- Charities and international NGOs
- Grant-making and membership organisations
- Social housing providers
- Schools, academies, and education institutions
- Professional bodies and household-name charities
This is an exciting opportunity to specialise and grow within the not-for-profit and social purpose sector. You will work alongside experienced Partners and Directors in a supportive, growing team that encourages autonomy, progression, and professional excellence. Flexible or part-time working arrangements are available, including hybrid working based in London.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of external audit clients, ensuring a high-quality, year-round service.
- Coordinate and oversee multiple audit assignments from planning to completion, within agreed budgets and timescales.
- Act as the principal client contact, maintaining strong, trusted relationships throughout the audit cycle.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management, Audit Committees, and Boards.
- Lead, coach, and mentor audit teams, providing guidance and technical support.
- Contribute to business development through networking, proposals, and presentations for new work.
- Collaborate with colleagues across assurance, advisory, and consulting to deliver holistic client solutions.
- Participate in team-wide training, knowledge sharing, and professional development activities.
