Interim Reconciliation Accountant – 3 Month Contract – Immediate Start – Fully Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) – Bracknell – £300/day Inside IR35
We are looking for an experienced Interim Reconciliation Accountant to provide critical support to our client’s finance team focusing on resolving a backlog of reconciliations and ensuring the business is well-prepared for its upcoming audit.

Responsibilities
- Complete and review complex balance sheet reconciliations across a range of accounts
- Carry out intercompany reconciliations, identifying and resolving mismatches between group entities
- Investigate aged or unreconciled items, providing clear commentary and maintaining a strong audit trail
- Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to obtain information and resolve outstanding issues
- Prepare comprehensive working papers and documentation to support year-end audit requirements
- Ensure reconciliations are accurate, timely, and fully compliant with accounting standards
- Assist the Finance Manager/Financial Controller with ad-hoc reporting and audit queries
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to strengthening financial controls
Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
- Solid track record in completing balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and practical experience with year-end audit processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain findings clearly
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to deliver results to tight deadlines
- Previous interim or project-based role experience preferred
