Professional Services Firm | Partner / Partner-Designate | London (hybrid)

The opportunity

Our client, a growing professional services firm with a strong mid-market presence, is looking to appoint a Deals Advisory Partner in London.

This is a genuine growth hire, not a succession seat — the firm is investing in its Deals practice and wants a Partner who can lead from the front: winning work, building a team, and shaping the strategy of the practice.

The lateral market remains the most active route to Partner, and this role suits either an established Partner seeking a more entrepreneurial platform, or a Director/Associate Partner at a Big 4 or top-20 firm who is ready for partnership now rather than waiting in a queue.

The role

  • Lead and grow the firm's Deals Advisory offering across transaction services, financial due diligence, M&A lead advisory and valuations , with the freedom to shape the service mix around your strengths.
  • Own and develop relationships with private equity houses, corporate acquirers, lenders and intermediaries across the London mid-market.
  • Take responsibility for practice P&L, pricing and quality on your portfolio.
  • Build, mentor and scale a high-performing deals team — the firm will back you with hires.
  • Sit on the firm's leadership group and contribute to wider firm strategy.

About you

  • A track record in transaction services, due diligence, corporate finance or M&A advisory at a Big 4, top-20 or credible boutique.
  • Currently operating at Partner, Director or Associate Partner level.
  • A demonstrable personal market: a following of PE, corporate or intermediary relationships you can develop on a new platform.
  • Proven business developer — comfortable originating work, not just delivering it.
  • Ambitious for equity: the firm offers a clear, transparent route from salaried to equity partnership.
  • What's on offer
  • Salaried Partner: £170–£220k+ depending on portfolio and following.
  • Equity Partner: A defined progression pathway.
  • Genuine autonomy over practice direction, sector focus and hiring.
  • A collegiate partnership culture without Big 4 bureaucracy.
