This role is focused on delivering a robust statutory reporting solution through system design, configuration, and process alignment, with an emphasis on data integrity and automation. The position is firmly centred on systems implementation and transformation, rather than technical accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the rollout of SAP statutory reporting (SAC or equivalent) across approximately 20 legal entities.
- Oversee the preparation and posting of adjustments within the system, ensuring alignment with FY25 signed accounts, including full disclosure reconciliation.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve process and system gaps, which will form a core part of the role.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting processes, with a focus on efficiency, control, and scalability.
- Support the development and enhancement of reporting outputs in Power BI, where applicable.
- Review, standardise, and automate central finance spreadsheets to reduce manual intervention and improve accuracy.
- Collaborate with finance, IT, and wider business stakeholders to ensure successful system adoption and integration.
- Establish best practices and governance around financial systems and reporting processes.
Experience & Skills Required
- Proven experience working with SAP (SAC) or an equivalent consolidation/statutory reporting system.
- Strong background in finance transformation, systems implementation, or process improvement.
- Experience delivering multi-entity reporting solutions in a complex organisation.
- Ability to bridge finance and systems, with a focus on practical improvements rather than pure technical accounting.
- Experience with Power BI or similar data visualisation tools (desirable).
- Advanced Excel skills, with a track record of spreadsheet optimisation and automation.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement sustainable solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
